Hand-Carved Textured Sapele Wood Picture Frame with Cottage Art

A small solid-wood picture frame defined by its rich hand-carved texture.

Crafted from natural solid Sapele wood, this frame is individually carved and sanded by hand to create an irregular, richly textured surface with noticeable depth. The dense carving gives the frame a strong handcrafted and sculptural presence, allowing this compact piece to feel decorative even at a smaller scale.

Paired with the cottage-themed cotton canvas artwork shown in the photos, the warm natural wood tones contrast softly with the deep green background and white cottage. The overall aesthetic blends Artisan, Rustic Modern, and Sculptural Design, giving the piece a handcrafted, slightly rustic character without feeling overly country.

DETAILS

Solid Sapele Wood
Made from natural solid Sapele wood with fine grain and warm reddish-brown tones. The wood gradually deepens in color over time with exposure to air and natural light.

Hand-Carved Texture
The surface is individually carved by hand to create an irregular, layered wood texture. Variations in depth and direction catch the light differently, making this the most distinctive feature of the frame.

Dimensional Square Form
The substantial square profile and recessed inner layers create a stronger sense of depth than a conventional flat wooden frame.

Cottage Cotton Canvas Artwork
Includes a high-quality cotton canvas print featuring a quiet cottage scene. The naturally textured canvas surface gives the artwork a softer, more tactile appearance.

Hand-Carved & Hand-Finished
Each frame is individually carved, shaped, sanded, and finished by hand, allowing the natural wood grain and handcrafted details to remain visible.

Removable Back Panel
The back panel can be removed, making it easy to replace the included artwork with your own photograph, small art print, or other artwork that fits the frame.

Designed Without Glass
The glass-free design allows the natural texture of the cotton canvas artwork to remain visible while reducing glare.
